Join us in April at the Women's Memorial for the following activities. All events are open to the public. Please forward this message to your friends and colleagues. Closing April 7. The very popular September 11 Photo Project is in its final week of exhibition at the Memorial. Composed of over 3,500 photographs and commentary by professional and amateur photographers from around the world, the exhibit originated in New York City's SoHo district and began its six-city national tour in DC at the Women's Memorial. Its next stop is Sacramento, CA. New Exhibit. "Clandestine Women: The Untold Stories of Women in Espionage," a new exhibit on women's roles in the 'spy business.' The exhibit is produced in partnership with the National Women's History Museum. The exhibit will run through December 31, 2002. April 8, 12:30 6 p.m. Funeral services for RADM Fran McKee, USN (Ret.), who passed away on March 3, 2002, will be held at 12:30 at St. Barnabus Episcopal Church in Annandale, VA, with interment at Arlington National Cemetery at 3 p.m. and a reception at the Women's Memorial at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Washington Cathedral or to a charity of the donor's choice. April 14, 2 4 p.m. "Present Arms," a Just 4 Kids program, lets children experience a new side of patriotism by examining the creation and changes in the American flag, the symbolism in our five military service flags and the feelings these flags evoke. Children will then create their own flags and share their meanings. Reservations required and nominal fee. April 16, 11:30 a.m. 1 p.m. Join us for a remembrance ceremony in honor of RADM Lucile Petry Leone, USPHS (Ret.), Cadet Nurse Corps Director and first Public Health Service Chief Nurse, followed by a discussion and book signing with Thelma Robinson and Paulie Perry, authors of "Cadet Nurse Stories: The Call for and Response of Women During World War II." Located at the ceremonial entrance to Arlington National Cemetery, the Women's Memorial is readily accessible by Metro (Blue Line, Arlington Cemetery stop) and paid parking is available. The Memorial is open daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
