NOW HEAR THIS!
I really don't understand the problem here! If two men, or two women,
for that matter, wish to live together, why all the fuss? male and
female couples move in together all the time, without any fanfare,
without worrying(?) about whether they can legally do this. In my
opinion, 'shacking up' is not the proper way to go.
On the other hand, I don't see that being 'gay' is a crime! I don't
understand it, of course, but why is it a crime to be gay? I,
personally, don't think ANYONE wants that; and I don't believe that
gays are 'self-made'; I think they are born that way. And I don't
think that God makes mistakes, either. He obviously has a reason for
this; we just don't know what it is. But for us to just condemn an
individual because he or she is gay, makes us guilty of judging; and
that is a no-no, as far as I am concerned.
I think where the wrong enters into this picture is when an adult
damages a child. Now that is criminal. An adult can make a decision;
a child can't. So, we need to change the way people look at these
situations; the attitude of the publiic needs to be changed. Not to be
'tolerant', but hopefully, to understand that people are born, not
created! I figure God has a plan; we just don't know what it is; but
it is up to us, as individuals, to observe God's laws; and I think one
of the most important things for us to remember is NOT TO JUDGE PEOPLE!
We have no idea of what makes people what they are; we only know that
God does not make mistakes; there is a reason for everything, good,
bad, or indifferent; we just have to live with it! Or ignore it, if
that is our choice.
In my opinion, people who harm other people are our biggest problem.
(As in WAR!) People who cheat other people, for whatever reason, are
wrong; I feel that all any of us can do is: do our very best to be
the best that we can be! If all of us did that, we'd have a pretty
darned nice world! But when one faction within a country tries to take
over, unfairly, then there is a problem. As in Germany, then Italy;
how about Russia; all those countries who tried to enslave their own
countrymen. That's criminal!
I also think it is time that the USA stop trying to cure all the world's
ills! We have enough problems in our own world to cure, without trying
to save the entire world! I think missionaries are fine; but don't go
blundering into the life-style of other countries until we are asked!
In my opinion, that is sort of interfering with another country! No
doubt at least 50 percent of you reading this will think that I have
lost my mind; but I have lived on this earth for 8l years now; and it
has just gotten worse! We need some changes, that's for sure, but
forcing our own religious style on another country or culture is NOT the
way to go! If they ask for such help, that is different! But to just
go blithely in and try to change the whole country == that's
interfering, in MY opinion! I would not appreciate any foreigners
coming to me, without being asked, to try to change MY life-style! And
I"ll get that 99.9 percent of you would not appreciate it, either! So
why do the people in this country think it is okay to do just that!
WAR should be outlawed! PARENTS should again take charge of their own
homes; teach their children, instead of leaving it up to the schools!
Children should learn right from wrong from their own parents; children
should be taught from their earliest days how to get along with people;
'as Jo March used to sing (in Little Women) "Little birdies in their
nests agree"; but that was not Jo, it was her sister Beth! And why am
I in such a philsophical mood this morning? I don't know. But I woke
up about 6 this morning and came right to my desk and starting writing.
Reckon someone is trying to tell me something????? I'm usually a
different type person! I 'live and let live'; yet this morning
something is drivng me to say these things! have I lost it? I just
think we are all going about things the wrong way! The government
creates more laws, without trying to find out why things happen as they
do. My personal opinion is that most parents have just abandoned their
jobs! The children, in MY opinion, are the number one job of parents;
and when parents abandon their job, everyone loses, but most of all, the
children! Maybe we don't need more policemen, for instance, but better
parents! Perhaps that is something which should be obligatory in
school. Classes on being a good parent, emphasizing to the students
that this is life; that life is real; life is earnest; and in order to
be a parent, one must certainly be ready! Okay, I'm nuts; I agree!
the world will never be perfect; and why am I worrying about it!
Because I care, that's why! And I know you girls do, too. You would
never had become part of the Armed Forces, if you didn't care! We
thought we were doing our part when we enlisted. Ladies, the job isn't
over! But what are we going to do about it? And how will we implement
whatever plan we might make? If I'm just nuts, tell me! If I've made a
valid point, let's try to do something about it! I'd really like to
know what you think!
