good morning fran, before you spend money for molly go to the library i have found all her books there.,she won't mind she'sa true observer of the human in politics. much like yourself. i lived in hawaii for eight years became a friend of bill wilson and returned to mainland, worked and continued school and worked. i could miss pearl city tavern and the beautiful bonsai with the slightest provocation, have my kukui leis lovingly cared for to this day. that was an evocative time . have a piano in the "parlor",in the south we have a parlor (where you keep the furniture no one sits on) and i'm so new on the computer I haven't hooked up the printer, however am in process . i'm going to get paul o'neil's book, thanks for the reccomendation. hawaii may appear a democratic state on paper and i'm sure the working folks think they are but the people who have the money hence the paper and tv and probably radio are stealth republicans in my eyes. it is really turning into a grand con game for those with wealth, it seems to be degenerating to those with money and those who plan to take it from them. please forgive the cynicism.the last refuge of a disappointed soul. disappointed that we who have everything could plummet to the depths of stupid behavior, the lust for all things that don't count and failure to remember the price that will be paid if we continue this path. learning is the same for all, you can avoid trouble by paying attention,if you don't and get in it, the only way out of it is through it,usually a less than attractive situation.

No, I havent, though I have heard of her...knew she was from TX, but that's about it.
Got a coupon from Borders, and was wondering what to spend it on, LOL. Am reading Clark's book now. Have you noticed that they've forgotten all about Paul O'Niell's book?
Read that too. When I finish Clarke's, plan to go through both, and see where they BOTH tell of the same incidents.
By the way, all this political stuff (the semi-factual e-mails, mostly) sends me off to the Web, trying to figure out what's true and what's not. I'm kind of compulsive that way. Believe only 30% of what I hear and see, so unfortunately, the dB and mailing list is suffering. Am about 50 addresses behind on the addresses and still haven't gotten beyond June on the dB. Interesting, that the only "liberal" stuff I've gotten is right-wing....no anti-Bush e-mails, jokes, etc. I had to subscribe to Move-on, TomPaine, and others to know what the "liberals" were doing and saying! Isn't that interesting? You could read a lot from that alone, and it may be a great help in ticking people off AGAINST Bush, if they're not already. I used to read it all, but there are so many repeats, I just delete the ones I remember seeing. I now look for the biggest off-the-wall remarks to check out. And it's usually the same as all the others: a grain of truth, and a lot of embellishment.
Found a good talk show on radio (FINALLY!) over here. He's a moderate Republican, comes on here at 1AM, (5AM Eastern) but is nationwide. The Doug Stephan "Good Day" show. Also hear the America station came on today. Don't stand a prayer of hearing it on radio, here, at least, but can listen on the computer. For a "liberal, Democratic" state, the only thing on air is Rush, Savage, Hannity, Dr Laura, ad nauseum. They broadcast Rush TWICE a day!
Also, for anyone interested, have made up a MIDI file of "WAVES of the Navy" song, so anyone who has Windows Media Player, Real Audio, etc. can play it on the computer. Just got to see if it will send okay as an attachment. I can send the actual sheetmusic (I think) as an attachement, for those who play piano.
Back to my mail. 110 e-mails in 24 hours!
Fran
