"Aileen Taylor" atc001Re: WHERE ARE YOU ALL???????Tue, 5 Oct 2004 13:28:28 -0400
hi Pat, oh i'm greatly hopeful,i know dozens of chilren who are being home schooled, and church schooled, and pulic and private schooled by parents who really care. however, all text books in this country used in public and most private schools are evaluated, and produced/printed in Texas. if they don't go thru some committee down in
texas they don't get to the children in this country. That is what scares me. most home schooled texts are from a private publisher in new england, they are or were more honest when i was asked to become involved in selling them. i didn't because i had my hands full caring for my motherand aunt and working. we have so much stuff in this country it really hard to keep opportunistic evil out of the present much less the future. by attacking our children and that's thru dumbing them down, spoiling them physically and morally, the war to be fought over the real estate will be a cake walk for anyone with the desire to enslave us all or kill us all, and take the country. relax, i know how that sounds i"m not crazy, just aware of motives, the power of hunger, the natural desire to dispose of the unworthy, and human nature that isn't american,as well as the type that is american. we fuss and snarl and snivel in this country but we don't enslave anymore,we are learning to get along, and we come from everywhere in the world. we have learned the lesson that killing for
god is like fornicating for virginity......it doesn't wash,God can fight his own battles, doesn't need any help, and certainly not from human beings. wow i'm windy today, please forgive. today i am 32 years clean and sober in alcoholics anonymous. i know the cost and pain of sin and disease.i know the gratitude and struggle of recovery,i go to God with no secrets and humility for the gift of being able to serve,i am one of the luckiest chosen souls in this or any other world, i get to share my failures and process of recovery with people all over the world, not because i'm so wonderful, but because i'm ordinary and fairly stubborn like most folks, and i love who i have become and know i am clearly not done, lol, thanks for sharing with me, i love your standing up for yourself, and fran and sandy and viv,and all who get past the fear of exposure to say what they live. thanks. i have so missed Pat, hope she gets back in the fray soon, the adrenalin is elevating, lol, patty of poagville, can't leave her out, lol, enough. as for the new machines,if they come from diebold, they are suspect, ask about the security and don't be put off. must go work, bye aileen

Aileen; Voting by paper ballot when possible is very smart. We currently use machines that work much like the old adding machines, but we are supposed to get the new "high tech" machines next year. I don't relish the idea and neither do the people who are in charge, but we can't get new machines-----they aren't manufactured any more. Your comment on the education of kids just happened to hit a sore spot with me. Today I heard a young woman being interviewed on radio who said "you know" every third word. Surely the college she graduated from could do better in educating her than that. Some how I think we are at least partially to blame, by not complaining when we are dissatisfied with the way our young are taught. Hopefully, the younger parents will learn that "the squeaky wheel gets the grease", and try to do better. Gotta keep hoping. Pat K.

hello pat, thanks for your comments. i'm sorry if i sounded like it was a list of shoulds for all to obey. that wasn't my intention, my intention was to speak only of what i must do. unfortunatley i allowed a few pontifical we 's and such foolishness in creep into my expression. it appears this time is fraught with monstrous battles being fought over my head, and as a free person i am deeply concerned those same people are using mein kampf as a guide book to destroy freedom completly and return the world i know to the dark ages .children have been dumbed down, overfed, overmedicated, over daycared and not enough parenting to even teach them the necessity of kindness. i frequently feel angry and overwhelmed at the speed we are collapsing as a culture, i look back at all the women who have given everything to ensure we have the vote, and how willing so many seem to be to toss it out like trash,i'm going to take an absentee ballot, paper, fill it out and turn it in.at least the guy with the wireless computer in the van outside the polling place won't be able to change it,hope everyone we know does the same thing. aileen

Aileen; I like your stand on God and what he does or doesn't do. The politicing is mostly just different opinions that sometimes bump together pretty strongly. If, as you have reccommended, we all used God as our only guide and counselor the world would be a much nicer place. Unfortunately, we don't all agree on what God wants, means or does. Hopefully, there will be a consensus by the time Nov. 2 arrives. Enjoy hearing from you so please write again. Pat K.

NOW HEAR THIS!
viv, we are drying out down here in south georgia, and frankly i enjoy
watching you and fran and sandy and pat go at it, you all bring up some
really important things, none of which remind me god runs it and we must be
prayer driven if nothing else and vote, thatsVOTE, and hope god has a sense
of humor when he sees the mess we are in with frick and frack fighting for
the assumed divine right to lead this country, neither of them is anything
without god and we are nothing without god so we need to go to theBoss and
vote and hope for the best. i know this sounds cheesy, and i may be,but all
the lying, cheating, secret crap, secret draft plans, oilfield deals, computer
voting scams and all this nazi stuff are a stress, locking up protester for
three days without due process and rights violations , redistricting
devilment, all supported by those who have and want more who think its
their right to make decisions for everyone by some divine grant, really frost
me. my life isn't based on how much money i could make,my calling is nursing
and service to man/woman/child kind wherever its needed,i'm ok with who i am
and don't want someone making decisions for me because i don't drive a new
car. i love the word curmudgeon and all it implies, tennis shoes for tennis
and real coffee unadulterated.you gals keep it up i love to listen and
learn. i honor you with my silence. lois

up on this site--so be it!!!! I am just writing another one SO THERE!!
Where is everyone?? I write to 3 gals off line and they said they were tired
of the politicing.!!! Well, I will admit, it is a sad subject! LOL But
tell ya what, someone start another subject and we will see if we can get
rolling again. I did find out from someone that Pat H had some sadness in
her family and that is one reason we haven't heard from her. Hopefully, she
will be back on again SOON. After all, if it wasn't for her and Lane we
wouldn't have a site.
> So a new subject?!?!---well, I am 81, my back hurts, my legs hurt---AW NO
that isn't a good subject.!!! So I say let's start talking again.
