Just heard an interesting point made about the symbology of the Republican
Elephant, so checked it out on the included link, which is a Google search
(page one). The point made is absolutely correct. I checked out several more
pages, and they all show the same placement of the stars.

Every conventional (party related) image has the inverted stars. There are
charms, jewelry, etc that have the upright stars, but not the "official" 3.
There are about 30+ pages, so if you want to check them all out, have fun!
The 3 stars are inverted, and that is the representation of Satan, or devil
worship, in Christianity, although it is also symbolic of the Wiccan/pagan
Goat god. Now why would they use such symbols on the one party that invokes
the name of God at almost every opportunity? I'm wondering which god they
mean! Is it the Goat God or Satan? Hmmmm.
